2010 brings a new era for Dubstep. One where it edges ever closer to the main stream of things knowing that it will never truly belong. As 2010 draws nearer its end here is my opinion on this years Top Ten Downloaded Dubstep remixes.

#10La Roux - I'm Not Your Toy (Nero Dubstep Remix)

Though this track is slow to start and has a few almost boring sections in the remix it still managed to make #10. Nero (producer and Dj) Seems to be flooding the internet with what seems like hundreds of dubstep remixes downloadable for free. thanks Nero

#9Excision & DatsiK - Swagga dubstep remix

Many people may argue that this remix deserves a higher position in the 2010 top 10 most downloaded Dubstep Remixes but that really depends on which type of dubstep you like. This remix by Excision and Datsik is on the hard dark raw side. With strangling basslines and not much hope for a melody. Still a great download though.

#8Mt Eden Dubstep remix download - Bat for lashes: Daniel

This emotional dubstep remix by mount eden really stamps his trademark sound. Seems like he goes for remixes of deep and almost sad songs from the past. like this one.

#7Mt Eden Dubstep - Sarah McLachlan - Silence - dubstep remix

Another Mt Eden dubstep remix receiving a lot of attention is this Silence remix. It carries Eden's Deep dark and mysterious atmosphere with it true to form.

#6Rihanna - Rude Boy (Chrispy Dubstep Remix)

Do you have to like Rihannas music to like this song? dont know. wasnt a huge fan but I cant argue with the numbers. this rude boy dubstep remix by Chrispy enters the top 10 2010 list unexpectedly but none the less deserves respect for gaining this much attention.

I love this remix. Well done Skream. sooooo sick the drop around 3:15. damn. I wish I had downloaded this mix long ago.

I am not a huge fan of this remix but the view count on youtube and download count speaks for itself. #3 on this top 10 list is well deserved and enjoy adding this track to your playlist.

An interesting Dubstep remix journey of Lloyds Tsb Advert. No vocals beside some female sounds.
by metaphi. In particular what makes this track so sick and puts in number 2 on the top 2010 dubstep remix chart is that damn snare with the crazy echo or delay on it. Sick and well done metaphi. Youtube has rewarded this song with millions of views.

- This great dubstep remix from Roksonix recieved well over 3 million views on quantum dubsteps youtube channel alone and I can only imagine how many times this remix has been downloaded. Do yourself a favour and take a look at what Roksonix has in store next.

#1Mt Eden Dubstep - Still Alive

Mt. Eden's Dubstep remix of Lisa Miskovsky's - Still Alive is on the softer side of the dubstep remix scene in my opinion because it is lacking one of those brain thumping rythymless basslines. I quite enjoy this beauty by Mt Eden and find it deserving of its number one place as the 2010 top 10 most downloaded and listened to dubstep remix. Congratulations and I cant wait to see what dubstep remixes Mt eden comes out with in 2011 and beyond.

This "top ten dubstep remixes downloaded in 2010" List is my personal opinion mixed with you tube view count numbers and torrent site download figures. Im sure there are a million different dubstep remixes floating around the internet that could easily replace a track on this list but these top 10 seem to have been most played during 2010.

Seems like every year the top 10 lists pop up in the last month of the year. In 2009 Many top lists didn't surface until 2010.

Dubstep in my opinion is almost still an underground remix genre that is on its way to mainstream.
